Extended Hours at Drexel Library

Drexel Library will be open until 2am through the end of classes (Sunday – Thursday, with exceptions for the Thanksgiving Holiday).

In addition, Drexel Library will once again be open 24/7 during finals (Sunday, December 11 – Saturday, December 17). So go ahead – find a quiet spot and settle in for the night.

Please note: During these extended hours (12 – 2am and 12 – 8am) there will be no technical or library assistance. A valid SJU ID is required to use Drexel Library. Security escorts are available by calling x1111.

The Drexel Library is happy to welcome the Writing Center’s new Satellite Location on the first floor of the Library. Students can stop by and make an appointment with a Writing Fellow, Monday – Thursday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Want to write your paper at the Drexel Library, but there aren’t any computers available?

Beginning October 19, SJU students can check out one of 12 laptops for use in the Library. The Lenovo x120e ThinkPads are available on a first come-first served basis and can be checked out for three hours at a time. Students can also check out an Ethernet cable or connect the laptop to the campus wireless network.

Each laptop contains the following software:

  • Microsoft Office 2010, including Word, Power Point, Excel
  • Maple 14
  • ASII Scoring Assistant
  • Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader X
  • SPSS 18
  • Internet Explorer 9
  • Mozilla Firefox 5

Laptops can be checked out at the Front Service Desk at Drexel Library. A current SJU ID is required for check out.
