Brief Description: Teach For America is a diverse network of leaders who confront educational inequity through teaching, and work with unwavering commitment from every sector of society to create a nation free from this injustice.

Eligibility: for college seniors or college graduates interested in teaching in the U.S., for U.S. Citizens

Selection: the application deadline is Sept. 13 2017, selections made in October 2017. 

Davies Jackson Fellowship

Emphasis: Academic (graduate study), Research, International (U.K.)

Brief Description: This fellowship provides two years of graduate study at St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge in England. For graduating seniors with exceptional records (3.7 GPA or higher) who are among the first generation in their families to graduate from college, to enroll in a BA program as an affiliated St. John’s students. The scholarship values at $50,000 is offered annually for study in: the Classics, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, History of Art, Human, Social and Political Sciences, Modern and Medieval Languages; Music, Philosophy and Psychology and Behavioral Studies.

Eligibility: must be a U.S. citizen, have completed a bachelor’s degree, first generation in their families to go to college and have a 3.7 or higher GPA.
