How did you first learn about or get connected to your current position/opportunity?
"I heard about the firm through a life long friend whose older brother accepted a position with the company."
How did your SJU education impact your position or professional goals?
"They prepared me for it. SJU values the wholeness of individuals and the exposure of that perspective allowed me to succeed in landing my position."
Did you participate in any experiential learning activities (internship, co-op, study abroad, etc.) while at SJU?
"I had 3 internships as a student on Hawk Hill. I spent two summers in public accounting and then one in private accounting. I was unsure what I wanted to do with accounting, so after my second summer as a public accounting intern, I felt I needed to gain private exposure to see what I really wanted in life. After gaining that exposure in private accounting doing tax, I realized that what I’m called to do in life will be best if I pursue audit and understand the language of the business first. Both internships brought many positives but helped narrow down what I wanted to truly do."
