Tell us a little bit about your internship position:

During my internship, I participated in internal, external and client meetings while working with brand teams, such as Janssen Immunology, to ensure communication plan alignment between client and agency. I also assisted with proposal development, timelines, status reports, and financial reconciliation.

How did you get your current position?

I leveraged my connections from previous internship, such as my manager,  to find connections at potential companies I was interested in. I then followed through with reaching out to her connections by sending out my resume and portfolio asking if there were any potential opportunities for myself at their company.

What is some advice that you would give to students who are currently searching for internships/who are about to do their first internship?

Always go the extra mile! Send that extra email, do that extra research on the company, reach out to as many people as possible and leverage all the connections that you have. Be positive and know that applying to 20 companies is okay, because even if 19 say no, you only need 1 to give you that chance!
