Please describe your role and what a typical day entails.

"I help the team with marketing material and office work. I do a lot of data entry, creative work, and editorial work. I get to the office by 9 am and begin checking emails, by 10 am my bosses arrive into the office and I usually run a few errands for them, and by noon I start working on data entry, filing and editing. My end of day work usually consists of working on cold mailings or doing creative work in Adobe."

How did you land your internship?

"My mom actually helped me with this! She found this job posting through Indeed and sent it to me telling me to apply. I did and was contacted because of my relevant experience. It also helped that I have an interest in real estate and enjoy working as part of a small group."

What skills do you use in this internship and how has SJU helped prepare you for this opportunity?

"I use communication skills, computer skills, and creative skills. The classes I have taken here at Saint Joe's prepared me for my internship because some of the things I have learned in class directly relate to what I am doing on a weekly basis. The Beautiful Social Class really helps prepare you for an internship/job within the real world."

What is some advice you would give to students who are searching for internships?

"Make sure you keep looking and apply to anything you may seem interested in even if you don't meet all the qualifications. Also, make sure you look into the company before interviewing and go prepared with a few questions to ask about the position."
