Briefly describe your role and graduate opportunity.
"Immediately following my graduation from Saint Joseph's University, I attended the University of Notre Dame's One Year Accelerated MBA program. I graduated from Notre Dame in May of 2017 and started that summer in EY's Assurance Services Practice, a position that I secured while I was a student at SJU."
How did your land your position with EY?
"The Accounting Department and Career Development Center at SJU were very proactive in informing students early on about opportunities with the Big 4 accounting firms. I applied and attended EY's Emerging Leaders Program my sophomore year and their internship program my junior year. Upon completion of the internship program, I was offered a full time position with the firm which I began after completing my graduate degree."
How did your SJU education impact your professional goals?
"At Saint Joseph's University I found the best version of myself. I was able to continue my athletic career with what is now one of the top programs in the country. Being a student athlete taught me the importance of discipline and leadership, skills that I carried with me into the classroom and that I use in my career everyday. I grew passionate about my studies at SJU, found a career path that I was thrilled about, and decided to continue my education at the University of Notre Dame with the encouragement and support of my professors."
Did you participate in any experiential learning activities while at SJU?
"I had three internships while attending Saint Joseph's University and additionally participated in the VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) Program on campus. The summer before my junior year I completed an internship with BNP Paribas Financial Services as a Middle Office Analyst. The summer before my senior year I completed an internship with EY in their Assurance Services practice, and following that I completed a winter internship my senior year with Marcum LLP as a Tax Return Preparer. Additionally, I competed on SJU's Division I field hockey team."
