“During college, I spent my summers at Saint Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. Acting as a Patient Care Technician, my responsibilities include phlebotomy, blood glucose testing, vital signs, EKG recordings and much more hands-on patient care," says Andrew Arner. "Since my start date, I have accumulated nearly 1000 hours of clinical health experience, which was vital to getting accepted to one of the top PA programs in the nation, without taking a gap year. My work at St. Luke's has deepened my passion for patient care, and continually motivates me to chase my dream of becoming a PA.”
Reflecting on SJU
“I learned the values of integrity, accountability, dedication and sacrifice through a plethora of challenging and engaging classes on Hawk Hill," says Andrew. "My professors instilled in me a work ethic and a maturity that I don’t believe I could have attained at any other institution. I learned leadership and teamwork skills, two things that will benefit me immensely in my professional life.”
