"I assisted the Social Studies Consultant in a variety of projects including the rolling out of the Civics Initiative, presenting in a webinar series for social studies educators, planning and organizing a conference, and updating the website."

What is some advice that you would give to students who are currently searching for internships/who are about to do their first internship?
"Take a chance and apply! The worst case is that you apply and don't get it, which is still better than NOT applying and never knowing if you would have landed it. Internships are a great way to learn more about your field and to network with people."
