Tell us a little bit about your internship position:
"As a marketing/public relations intern, I partner with marketing managers on the implementation of various projects, coordinate marketing materials such as banners, e-blasts, and journal ads, traffic content through various social media platforms and track timelines and ensure that all deadlines are maintained."
How did you get your current position?
"During the beginning of my senior year, I was surfing the SJUcareers website and saw an opening for an internship at Michel J. Hennessy. After applying online, I had an on-campus interview and was offered the position about a week later."
What is some advice that you would give to students who are currently searching for internships/who are about to do their first internship?
"Do not limit yourself. As a graduating college student, you are already ahead of the game. You can apply yourself in more ways than you know. Be open to opportunities outside of your major and sell yourself. Confidence goes a long way."
