The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) program is designed specifically to provide the tools, education and mentorship necessary for post-9/11 veterans to start or grow their own businesses. We offer the latest training in business and entrepreneurship, utilizing the breadth of experience available through the renowned Haub School of Business, industry practitioners, and our affiliation with Syracuse University and their Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF).
What will you learn?
Our program, designed in three phases, works to develop the necessary skills associated with launching or growing a new business venture.
Veterans participate in a self-study curriculum with instructor-led feedback.
- The purpose is to provide the necessary grounding in business fundamentals and to formalize a business plan. This phase is three weeks.
This nine-day residency exposes veterans to a broad training curriculum. NOTE: Due to the pandemic, this portion of the program has been offered virtually as one week of synchronous (live) online training. We are scheduled to conduct this in-person this year. ALL CITY OF PHILADELPHIA AND CAMPUS COVID PROTOCOLS, INCLUDING REQUIRED VACCINATIONS AND 100% MASKING INDOORS, WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THIS COHORT.
- Includes classroom discussions, guest lectures from successful entrepreneurs, and opportunities for experiential learning.
- One-on-one work with trained mentors enables veterans to further develop and refine their business plan.
- A Venture Pitch competition is used to assess all business plan submissions
Veterans receive ongoing mentorship and a suite of support services for 12 months after completing the on-campus Phase II residency.
