We partner with faculty in a variety of ways. Please use the links below to learn more about the services we currently provide. Not finding what you are looking for? Feel free to reach out to OLR Director Kris Goldberg directly, via telephone at 610.660.1778 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
We are happy to present in-class workshops on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, time management, learning preferences, textbook reading, note-taking, and overall study strategies. Want a customized workshop for your students? Just ask! Can't be there? We'll deliver the class in your stead and will e-mail you the attendance sheet. Click here to learn more about our workshop offerings or to request a workshop for your class.
Support beyond the classroom
We offer peer tutoring in 100- and 200-level courses in multiple subject areas. Not sure if your course is covered? Check the list of covered courses. Need help in a 300 or 400 level course? Offer your students our Study Group Starter Kit. If you would like, one of our staff members can review the starter kit with your students. Send Kris Goldberg an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange such an introduction.
Supplemental Instruction (SI)
In select courses, we offer Supplemental Instruction or SI. As part of the program, an upperclassman SI Leader attends the target course, taking notes alongside the current students. He or she then uses the information to plan and run two weekly review sessions, open to all students enrolled in the course. Learn more about the program here or by contacting SI Coordinator Allie Flick Mongiello at email@example.com.
Learning Strategy Consultations
Sometimes, students need help with the process of learning, rather than with course content. From time management to textbook reading to overall help honing learning strategies, we can work with individual students to strengthen their skills.
