The Accounting Society at Saint Joseph’s University helps provide accounting majors with an outside of the classroom knowledge of accounting. Every year, the Accounting Society introduces many educational experiences to the students, as well as allows for multiple networking opportunities. The speakers we bring in include those among a variety of backgrounds.
We are campus chapter of the national non-profit Active Minds. Active Minds is dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health on college campuses. We are the voice of young mental health advocacy. Active Minds is not a support group. We are committed to bringing students information about resources on campus, like CAPS.
ALPFA(Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting)
ALPFA is the largest Latino national association for business students and professionals. The Saint Joseph’s University ALPFA Chapter has been formed and is an officially recognized student organization, and we are in the process of obtaining recognition as a national student chapter. We are looking to tap into networking, mentoring, development, programmatic, and scholarship opportunities provided by the local professional chapter and by the national organization.

Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpla Omicron Pi is an organization on campus founded by women for women. We work to promote awareness for our philanthropy, Juvenile arthritis. As a sorority our goal is to enrich women’s lives through lifelong friendship and sisterhood.
A group of 138 women with the purpose of raising money for our Philanthropy, Women’s Cardiac Care.
Alpha Phi Omega
Alpha Phi Omega is a coeducational national service organization that provides it members the chance to develop leadership skills through service projects throughout campus, the surrounding community and across the nation. While other groups volunteer, service is not their main focus – this is why more than 400,000 students have chosen APO since our founding in 1925.We are an inclusive group, open to all nationalities, backgrounds and genders, and we welcome you to become part of our amazing organization so that together we can pursue a common goal – leading through service to others.
American Marketing Association
The AMA chapter of the Saint Joseph’s University is devoted to helping it’s members, student body, and community make great strides in teaching, communicating, and connecting with plethora of marketing resources. These resources include alumni, faculty, career services, and experts in various business fields.
American Sign Language Club
Our goal is to bring ASL to the SJU community and continue to diversify the experiences that students can have.
Asian Students Association
We aim to celebrate Asian culture with Asian and non-Asian students and offer an opportunity to learn, engage, and build networks while maintaining a healthy, rich community on campus.
Autism Speaks U SJU
The mission of our organization is to teach and open the minds of members of the SJU community about Autism. All of our events are geared toward educating the SJU community and fundraising for our parent organization Autism Speaks.

BITS ( Buisness Info. & Technology Society)
The Business Information and Technology Society (BITS) is a student-run organization for Decision Sciences, Information Systems, and Business Intelligence students. Our goal is to promote awareness of these fields and of career opportunities within them by sponsoring networking events, on-campus guest lectures, field trips, classroom speakers, and maintaining contacts with local organizations actively hiring for summer internship, co-op, part-time, and full-time positions.
Black Student Union
BSU mission is to unite African Americans and other minorities through various activities. We want to educate all students about Black History from the past and present, discuss problems African Americans face on campus and provide events to unite SJU campus.
BTG (Bridging the Gap)
BTG is an organization that aims to promote awareness of many diverse (and sometimes underrepresented) lifestyles in order to create a more welcoming and accepting environment on campus! Hence bridging the gap between people from all different walks of life!
Caribbean Students Association
CSA strives to open up a worldly environment which focuses on expanding the knowledge of Caribbean culture through on and off campus events.
Chemical Biology Society
The Chemical Biology Society of Saint Joseph’s University intends to provide a scholastic opportunity for all students with an interest in chemistry, biology and/or biochemistry, to come together. The goal of the Chemical Biology Society is to give students with similar ideas and experiences, the chance to convene share in these mutual interests.

The mission of the Saint Joseph’s University College Democrats is to inform and foster political engagement on a community, state, and national level. The College Democrats seek to cultivate the next generation of leaders and make their voices heard in the political process, while upholding Democratic ideals.
The mission/purpose of this organization is to discuss conservative politics and to get involved in activities that focus on conservative ideals.
Colleges Against Cancer – Relay for Life
Relay for Life: The hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. Relay for Life is a on campus event that takes place in the spring that fundraises money for the American Cancer Society.
Council For Exceptional Children
The purpose of CEC is to offer experiences to Saint Joseph’s University students to be involved in social and academic interactions with people with disabilities of all ages. CEC should also promote awareness and understanding about people with disabilities to all members of the Saint Joseph’s community.
Crimson and Gray
The Crimson and Gray is Saint Joseph’s Undergraduate literary magazine. We provide students with a platform to express themselves through poetry, prose, drama, photography and art.
Delta Delta Sigma
The goal of the Pre-Dental Society is to educate students about opportunities in the field of Dentistry and to provide them with helpful knowledge and resources which may aid them in acceptance to Dental School. The organization provides many opportunities for community service, dental experience, leadership, and networking. Extracurricular activities are a very important part of the applicant’s materials. Most dental schools place emphasis on volunteer community service. Some volunteer experience in a dental setting is necessary. The mission of Delta Delta Sigma is to introduce students to the dental profession and provide a helpful environment for success in their pre-dental academics.

Enactus is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.
The Mission of the Club is to promote, and foster an environment of Entrepreneurship for undergraduate, and graduate students. We bridge academic theory with actual business experience. We instill opportunities to develop members leadership, entrepreneurship skills, and instill high ethical standards.
Expressions of Praise ( Voices of Praise)
Expression of Praise is dedicated to spreading the gospel through song, dance and spoken word. The group knows no cultural bounds as members are invited to introduce their cultural representation of the gospel.
The SJU Film Society dedicates itself to introducing students at Saint Joseph’s University to a wide variety of movies renowned for being culturally, historically, and/or aesthetically significant in the world of cinema.
The mission of the Finance Society is to provide students with exposure to the practical aspects of the world of finance through presentations from professionals in the field.
Financial Planning and Wealth Management Society
Further educate the student body on the importance of financial planning and help foster a strong network between financial service alumni and the students involved with our organization. In addition to this, we are working to help differentiate the financial planning major from the other majors of the Haub school of business.

Food Marketing Association
The mission of FMA is to provide all students, both food marketing majors and non, the chance to connect with real world executives to get insight about potential careers. We host speakers from large companies that give students a chance to network and learn from their past successes and failures. Our goal is to make students more aware of the countless job avenues they could follow and to be able to approach interviews with confidence.

We are the organization that brings all of Greek Life together. We have representatives from both fraternities and sororities that announce chapter functions as well as collaborate on ideas to promote the Greek community.

Founded in 2007, the SJU Greek Club acts as a social union for students of Greek and Cypriot descent on Hawk Hill and promotes Hellenic cultural traditions through a variety of activities, both on and off campus.
Hand in Hand
The mission of Hand in Hand is to spread awareness, increase interaction, and create unity among the Saint Joseph’s University community and individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. We host an annual spring carnival held at Saint Joseph’s University, serving the community of special needs. We have approximately 1,000 buddies, friends, and volunteers that participate each year.

Hawks for Heroes
To unite all members of the Saint Joseph’s University community to honor and support the unsung heroes of our time: our service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Hawks On Pointe
Hawks On Pointe aims to provide high quality, high energy entertainment through a fun song and dance ensemble. We will encompass performances of songs on the radio, tap and other dance-based routines, as we as numbers from TV and Broadway’s greatest hits. HOP will act as a resource for students to improve their overall singing and dancing skills. The a cappella groups, choirs, and SJU musicals have singing. The dance team has the dancing. HOP will bring these two sides of performing together.
Hawks vs. Cancer
A group of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer in any way we can. We raise money, awareness, and prevention through different groups on campus such as Campus Ministry, Greek life, clubs, and athletic teams. We specifically try to work with foundations that are related to SJU (i.e. Casey and Margo team bamit) we are here to support those fighting, celebrate the survivors, and remember those who have passed.
Her Campus SJU is an online collegiate guide made for the women at SJU. Apart of Her Campus Nationals, our chapter updates seven sections weekly on news, style, blog, events, campus cuties, campus celebrities, and one weekly poll.
We are an open group who allows any one to come and explore the theater style of improvisation. We also are aiming to perform a live show once a month not only to gain new members and attract people to join, but to also provided entertainment for the students on campus.
International Business Society
We are an organization of students that seeks to increase interest in business on an international. We will focus on international economies, societies, cultures, and languages. We aim to increase awareness of the International Business major and minor. Educate students on globalization and its effects. Provide networking opportunities for our students. Invite industry experts to bring real world experience into our classroom curriculum.
International Student Association
To bridge the gap/promote cultural appreciation and diversity on campus between international students and domestic students.
To appreciate and celebrate Italian language and culture through food, celebrations, film, and music, and share them with the Saint Joseph’s community.
Japanese Culture Club
To introduce students to Japanese culture.
The SJU Jazz Ensemble is a small band that performs a free jazz concert at the end of each semester. The band always looks for new talent, and is happy to welcome anyone interested in joining our fun, talented group. The band practices once a week (every Wednesday night), and performs on the last Thursday of classes.
Jesuit Just Employment Initiative
The SJU Just Employment Initiative fosters an inclusive campus community that cares for the whole person. We seek to form relationships with workers. We advocate for the compensation of a living wage. Striving to uphold the Jesuit mission of our University, we promote respect and protection of the dignity and rights of the worker.

Lamda Chi Alpha
Lambda Chi Alpha aims to systematically develop our men by fundamentally shaping who they are, what they know, and what they can do.
Latino Student Association
The mission of LSA aims to preserve and promote the richness and diversity of Latino culture. Campus wide programming, collaborations (both on and off campus), and community service are used as vehicles to educate the SJU community, celebrate and explore various dimensions of culture, and develop appreciation and pride within the Hispanic community.
League of Legends and E-Sports
An organization intended to bring together campus members in a different way through popular video games and other unique aspects.
Magic: The Gathering Club
The club’s purpose is to facilitate the playing of Magic: The Gathering for all members. This includes organizing events and meetings for members to play, compete, discuss, and learn about Magic: The Gathering.
Make a Wish
Make a Wish Mission: We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. SJU Make A Wish Mission: As a group, we will fundraise by creating exciting events on campus to help grant the wishes of those with life threatening medical conditions.
Molloy Chemical Society
We organize meetings to discuss potential guest lecturers and organize activities to include the entire student body in learning more about the chemistry department.
Our mission is to educate students of social and environmental issues and to encourage ethical, positive and sustainable practices on campus and into the professional world.

PILOT is a student organization that augments the Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing major at SJU. The purpose of the Russian Club is to increase understanding and tolerance for Russian, Eastern European, and Slavic culture, government, traditions, languages, and people, and how all of the aforementioned relates to American culture and government.
To promote involvement with the senior citizen community in the Philadelphia area by inviting senior citizen guests to a Thanksgiving-themed social. Guests are encouraged to engage with student volunteers and other guests while enjoying a Thanksgiving meal and dancing with one another.
She’s the First
She’s the First is a not-for-profit that sponsors girls’ education in the developing world. We encourage young people to creatively fundraise for girls’ sponsorships with their online and offline social networks. For sponsors, She’s the First provides community, leadership opportunities, and a sense of global citizenship. For underprivileged girls, the impact of a sponsorship is life-changing: Most will be the first in their families to graduate.

To inform students about the various real estate opportunities in the Philadelphia region while connecting students with various real estate professionals. The mission of our organization is to foster the real estate interests of students through various networking and mentoring opportunities.
SJU Theatre Company
SJU Theatre Company is the premiere theatre producing organization at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It has produced plays & musicals on the campus of Saint Joseph’s University for over 80 years.
SJUPride is an undergraduate student organization that strives to create inclusive spaces for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Ally people. All undergraduate SJU students of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome. Pride strives to create holistic experiences for all members of the LGBTQIA community. Pride works toward an inclusive understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity in the context of and as it intersects with race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, ability, socio-economic status, and culture.
Society of Physics Students
The Society of Physics Students is the organization for those interested in the physical sciences at Saint Joseph’s University. We encourage all members of the community who have a passion or a curiosity for physics to participate in our organization. Through different events, we attempt to learn more about the world around us, such as trips to museums and seminars. We also aim to find chances for students who have research experience to be able to display their work at conferences.
Spanish Club seeks to involve the SJU community with a variety of activities to make known the vibrant cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Through authentic food nights, dance workshops, film screenings, conversation tables, and much more, students can bring to life the culture and language learned in the classroom.

Think Pink at SJU
The mission of Think Pink Week is to raise money for breast cancer research through various on and off-campus events as well as raise awareness about breast cancer within the SJU community during the month of October.
University Student Senate
The purpose of the USS shall be to provide full representation of the views and opinions of the students; it shall act as a conduit between the students, faculty, staff and administration, as well as strongly and vehemently advocate the sentiment and interests of the students in both University and community affairs. The USS shall also incorporate the student voice in the policy and decision-making processes of the University.
Women’s Leadership Initiative
WLI encourages and empowers female students to be leaders wherever they may find themselves. We promote a gender inclusive environment that fosters open conversations about relevant issues. The initiative identifies and mentors female students who want to take an active leadership role. Students who are active WLI members have the opportunity to plan events, coordinate guest speaker engagements, and attend conferences and workshops that focus on the importance of women in leadership positions. Students will: Develop leadership skills with an academic focus Network with peer and professional leaders on and off campus Learn about the importance of women in both the public and private sectors Analyze the theoretical, empirical, and practical implications of women’s leadership and create a firm knowledge-based foundation of leadership development Prepare female students to lead by promoting gender parity.
