All individuals involved in Human Subjects Research (HSR) associated with Saint Joseph's University must complete the CITI Human Subjects in Research training.  This training is valid for three (3) years from the date of completion. Once the 3rd anniversary has passed, investigators will be required to complete a "Refresher" course, every three years, to maintain their CITI training.  Proof of completion of appropriate training is required for ALL research personnel at the time of submission of a protocol. Required courses are dependent upon a researcher's role at SJU, the type of research being conducted, and whether or not the research is sponsored. SJU's CITI requirements can be found here.

Please visit the CITI site to create a username and password and access courses.  See complete instructions for registration and log in here.

The CITI training will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete. You are encouraged to use multiple login sessions. The username and password you create will allow you to log in and out of the training as needed.

CITI courses do not provide guidance on the submission of your protocol for review by the SJU IRB.
