As a physics major, you will use systemic reasoning and call on your imagination to understand the laws of nature, the structure of matter and the behavior of physical processes — the keys to many of the universe’s secrets.
The range of a physics education encompasses the innermost working of the nucleus of an atom to the outer edges of the visible universe. A minor in physics offers a foundation in the discipline’s principles, which will deepen your understanding of the natural and applied sciences and enhance critical thinking skills. As such, it is a great option for students majoring in the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science who are seeking careers in research and development or who hope to pursue placements in top graduate or professional programs. Students complete the minor by enrolling in six physics courses.
