Briefly describe your position.

"I am in charge of all things music related at the church. I direct the choir, accompany the Masses, plan the music, and provide music for all funerals and weddings. I also am in charge of all liturgical ministers, and I schedule the liturgical ministers as well."

How did you first learn about or get connected to this role?

"I was looking for a church job after I finished my master's program. I spent a year teaching music and singing professionally. I found this job on a hotline and applied because my brother goes to William and Mary which is in Williamsburg."

How did your SJU education impact your professional goals?

"My professors in the music department, and everyone I worked with in Campus Ministry always fostered my passions. They also gave me endless opportunities and encouraged me to pursue church music as a long term career."

Did you participate in any experiential learning opportunities while at SJU?

"I spent a semester studying abroad in Paris at the Ecole Normale de Musique and participated in the Summer Scholars Program where I wrote a 10 movement classical Mass."
