Students introduce Jesuit education at Saint Joseph's and offer a variety of ways new students can make this their own holistic learning experience.
10:45 am The Res Life Experience: Campus Living 101 (North Lounge & Forum Theater)
Living on campus is much more than unpacking your stuff and setting up your room! Learn how to be a good roommate, get connected to your floor and campus life, and utilize your RA and other campus resources in order to make the most of your residential experience.

11:30 am - Lunch with your group & CID Meet and Greet
Stop by the Center for Inclusion and Diversity to meet the staff and active students, learn about diversity and inclusion initiatives, education, and programming, and understand how we create and sustain community and a sense of belonging for students.
12:30 pm & 2:15 pm - Factuality (Foley Center)
FACTUALITY is a facilitated dialogue, crash course, and board game, all in one, that simulates real-life experiences in America.
Culture of Care: Preventing Harm Through Bystander Intervention (Connelly & Merion Halls)
This session will discuss concepts and skills to help all members of our community step in to help prevent potential moments of harm on our campus. We will explore our perception vs the reality of college life and learn techniques to intervene in situations involving substance use, relationship issues, sexual misconduct, bias related incidents, or mental health concerns. This will be a highly engaging and interactive session that will demonstrate the culture of care that exists in our Hawk Hill community!

8:30 am - Introduction to Your Major and Course Registration (Teletorium and various locations)
Meet with faculty and academic advisors to review the registration process and requirements for your intended course of study.

CIRP Survey (Doyle Banquet Halls)
For over 50 years, the CIRP Freshmen Survey has provided data on incoming college students’ background characteristics, high school experiences, attitudes, behaviors, and expectations for college.
Housing Selection & Community Standards (North Lounge)
Get to know the First Year housing options and walk through the entire housing selection process so that you are prepared to select your home away from home for your first year on Hawk Hill! Additionally, students will further explore what it means to be a Hawk at Saint Joseph's University. Students will be introduced to the Office of Community Standards, the Student Handbook, and how expectations for students are grounded in our Jesuit values and tradition.
