Everyday Events

Sock Drive

Feb. 8 through Feb. 20 Mission Week Socks and Underwear Drive will be collecting (new) wear (sizes 0-12) for our service partner Cradles to Crayons; a non-profit providing clothing and supplies to local children in need.

Image, Immersion and Bolivia

All week the 2nd floor of the Post Learning Commons will be showcasing photos from the SJU Immersion to Fe y Alegria Bolivia by Dr. David Parry, Communications.

Sunday

February 17

11 am - Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society Inductions, Chapel of Saint Joseph

7 pm - Mission Week Opening Mass - “We send you out on a mission of love!”, Chapel of Saint Joseph

9 pm - Mission Week Mass for the City of Sisterly/Brotherly Love, Chapel of Saint Joseph

February 18

All Day - Hawk Chalk the Mission WalkSee messages on the mission throughout campus

11:30am - Mindful Mondays - Drop-in Mindful Meditation, Campion Student Center Sunroom 1.

February 19

All Day - Various faculty are teaching to the Mission Week theme on this day

11 am - "Communities Holding Each Other Accountable Through Educational, Restorative and Constructive Processes", Cardinal Foley Center

ALL DAY - Examen-Nation in your office, hall or house, Let’s set the record for them most examens done in a day!

1pm - 4 pm - Covered with Care: Cura Personalis in the Perch, The Perch

6 pm - Black Student Union and Career Development Center, Doyle Banquet Hall

7pm - Mission Madness at The SJU vs. Duquesne Women’s Game, Hagan Arena

8:30 pm - Wednesday WorshipChapel of Saint Joseph

9:45 pm - Weekly Wednesday Examen moves to the Chapel, Chapel of Saint Joseph.

Thursday

February 21

11 am - "The Other Side: How is polarization today different from the
past?", Campion Center, North Lounge

3:30 pm - 6 pm Global Women Sharing Culture at the Wonderland Tea Party
Mandeville 123 (faculty dining room)

6-8 pm - Taste of the World, The Perch, Tickets will be $3 in advance
(tabling in Campion) and $5 at the door.

 

Friday

February 22

All Day - Cradles to Crayons Employee Service ImmersionEmployees will depart campus and spend part of the day working with our community partner Cradles to Crayons in Conshohocken helping them send out love to children all over our city.
