Faculty Training – The training focuses mostly on the use of Blackboard and associated software. Training in the use of technology classrooms is also available.
Media Services provides prearranged “walk-throughs” for Faculty, Staff and Students to demonstrate how the equipment functions in Classrooms and Event areas.
Video and Audio Recording for Classroom and Special Events – Of guest lecturers or special events with approval from presenter. We also provide recordings of classrooms and student presentations.
All videos can be provided as a link or a DVD or uploaded to a specific Blackboard Classroom. The turnaround time is within one week unless requested as a priority.
Color Scanning – Media Services can scan images for use in presentations or WWW pages.
Duplication of videotapes and audiotapes – Media Services provides duplication and format transfer services to the university. We will do limited runs (2-10) of DVD duplication and transfers of digital video or video tapes to DVD or vice versa. Scanning and slide scanning services are also provided. Media Services follow copyright laws when duplicating materials. All tapes must have copyright clearance.
Video Conferencing – Media Services will help schedule and set up video conferences. For those using Skype, you will need to provide your own Skype account.
Loan Equipment – technology loans for a maximum of three days is available. The University community can reserve video cameras and tripods. Submit your request.
Students in the Film Studies and Communications Studies programs can have technology specific equipment and is restricted to program participants only. Please go to Boland Hall to rent Film Studies and Communications Studies equipment.
