Family Business and Entrepreneurship Major

Undergraduate

Through this major, students learn how to assess risks associated with business management, make responsible decisions and recognize opportunities within and outside their own businesses. The curriculum is structured to expose students to family business and entrepreneurship on three levels.

International Business Major

The International Business Department at Saint Joseph’s offers both major and minor courses in international marketing, finance and management, as well as a capstone course in global strategic planning. The design of the international business (IB) program at SJU is interdisciplinary in nature. Students enroll in a variety of courses exploring the international dimensions of business, as well as other courses in the College of Arts and Sciences that enhance knowledge about other countries and cultures. In addition, students are encouraged to study abroad or participate in a study tour to gain direct exposure to an international experience. This versatile major can be paired with minors in foreign languages, international relations, economics or any other disciplines that will provide a well-rounded experience.

Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability Major

Undergraduate

While most business schools wait to introduce this kind of leadership development until the graduate curriculum, Saint Joseph's introduced the Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability major to encourage undergraduate students to re-examine business practices in light of social, environmental, political and economic shifts. The objective of the major is to develop leaders whose goal is to lead and work for the greater good. This includes several components, including leadership, social responsibility, ethics and justice.
