{"id":1246,"date":"2011-07-27T07:35:24","date_gmt":"2011-07-27T11:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sju.edu\/blogs\/library\/lifelines\/?p=1246"},"modified":"2011-07-27T07:35:24","modified_gmt":"2011-07-27T11:35:24","slug":"proquest-databases-new-interface","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.sju.edu\/lifelines\/proquest-databases-new-interface\/","title":{"rendered":"ProQuest Databases: Interface Updated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"..\/..\/..\/..\/resources\/libraries\/drexel\/images\/blogs\/proquest.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" align=\"absMiddle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ProQuest, which searches a wide array of popular and scholarly sources in a variety of subject areas, has a new look.\u00a0 The formerly red and white screen has switched to a softer blue and orange and it&#8217;s not only the color scheme that has changed.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the existing and newer features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Select specific databases or cross-search databases across subject areas<\/li>\n<li> Access to full text articles with links to similarly themed materials<\/li>\n<li>Search primary sources, peer reviewed journals, dissertations, graphs, images and tables<\/li>\n<li>Set up RSS feeds and alerts to receive updates on current literature in a particular field<\/li>\n<li>Export citations to <em>RefWorks<\/em> and other citation managers, including sharing results via email and social networking links<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ProQuest platform will continue to provide the following eight databases, which can be searched individually or together:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ABI\/INFORM<\/li>\n<li>Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA)<\/li>\n<li>New York Times (1980-current)<\/li>\n<li>PAIS (including PAIS archive)<\/li>\n<li>ProQuest Dissertations &amp; Theses<\/li>\n<li>ProQuest Research Library<\/li>\n<li>Wall Street Journal (1984 -current)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the new platform, please see ProQuest&#8217;s site for library users:<br \/>\n<a title=\"ProQuest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.proquest.com\/en-US\/promos\/platform\/user.shtml\">http:\/\/www.proquest.com\/en-US\/promos\/platform\/user.shtml<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ProQuest, which searches a wide array of popular and scholarly sources in a variety of subject areas, has a new look.\u00a0 The formerly red and white screen has switched to a softer blue and orange and it&#8217;s not only the color scheme that has changed.
