The SJU Saint John’s Bible Has a Facebook Page!

A Facebobiblegroupok page for the
Saint John’s Bible @ Saint Joseph’s
University

was created by students Joe Hallak and Matt Musmanno as part of a biology course taught during the Fall Semester by the Rev. John Braverman, S.J. This page is available for students, faculty, staff and others to reflect on  displayed illuminations and post thoughts. Take a few minutes out of your busy day and take a look!

The first handwritten and illuminated Bible commissioned by a
Benedictine Abbey in the more than 500 years since the invention of the printing press, the original is housed at the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library in Minnesota. Saint Joseph’s University owns a rare 7 volume fine
art reproduction Heritage Edition.  One volume of the Saint John’s Bible is
always on display on the Chapel of Saint Joseph-Michael J. Smith
Memorial and another in the Post Learning Commons and Drexel Library.
