Charging Stations

Charging stations are located on the first and second floors of the Post Learning Commons and Drexel Library. Mini desktop charging stations are available in the Café on the first floor of Post Learning Commons.

Library Technology


A color copier is available in the Campion Building.


DVD/VHS Viewing

There are three viewing carrels adjacent to the South Wing (microfilm area) equipped with DVD/VHS players and monitors. Audio headsets are required for quiet listening at the carrels and can be borrowed from the front desk along with headset splitters for use when more than one person needs to view the same video.  A external DVD drive player is also available for checkout.

Mini laptops can be borrowed (for in-library use only). Use of the laptops is determined by a default single-user logon and will not allow access to your personal cloud space on the University Network. Cloud Services like Google Drive and Dropbox can be accessed using the laptops. See Laptop Policy for more information.

To print documents sent from library computers or via mobile print to printer, log in or swipe your HawkCard at the printing station, select your print jobs, and click the PRINT button, then log out.

To use mobile printing, mail your document as an attachment and send your documents to: and pick up your job from any printer in the library.

There is one black and white printer and one color printer in the Drexel Library, first floor printer alcove. There are three black and white printers and one color printer in the Post Learning Commons. There are two black and white printers on the second floor of Post Learning Commons.



The Library has one touch-screen scanner and a flatbed scanner available on the first floor near the Service Desk.  An additional flatbed scanner is located on the second floor of the Post Learning Commons. 



The kiosk located at the Information Desk permits you to check out a book on your own.  You can also check your library record and renew materials at the kiosk.



Basic support is available for all Library technology. During business hours look for Tech Support Students located at the Service Desk or Michael Brooks, Technology Support Coordinator.  Alternatively, the Technology Service Center (TSC) can be contacted from the black phone at the Service Desk on the first floor Drexel Library and second floor Post Learning Commons or by calling extension 2920.


Wireless Access

Turn WiFi ON and choose the wireless network called “sjuwireless.” Enter your NEST username and password when prompted and choose joinFor more detailed information and troubleshooting click here

Guest WiFi access is available in a number of areas in the Library including the atrium and lobby areas, the cafe, conference and meeting rooms, and the computer labs. For access, turn WiFi ON and choose the wireless network called “SJUGUEST.” Enter ts8327w8 as the password, when prompted, and then choose JOIN.  Please note, guest WiFi access will not provide you with the ability to log in to a computer without an active SJU student account, nor will it give you access to licensed databases.
