This week the Drexel Library is exploring titles explaining the role of allyship and the concept of white privilege. Rachel Fager, Catalog and Metadata Librarian, as well as subject liaison for English and other areas, has provided a list of resources in the library collection concerning allyship and white privilege. A resource from the American Library Association states that “An ally is one who recognizes their unearned systemic privilege from societal injustice and works to change these patterns of injustice.”  Part of allyship is understanding white privilege, or the inherent social advantage conferred on the basis of race. Below are are a list of e-books and streaming video to explore the topics.
