Welcome to the Department of Institutional Effectiveness

The mission for the Department of Institutional Effectiveness is to provide leadership for institutional effectiveness, assessment, and student learning outcomes across campus. Responsive to both internal and external stakeholders, IE coordinates the SJU Institutional Effectiveness Plan by managing the Program Review Process, SLO Assessment Plan, Annual Report, and Annual Plan functions of the University, and coordinates and supports the work of the academic assessment committees on campus.

The IE department supports the Provost and Assistant Provost in all institutional and program accreditation activities, and provides relevant, timely and accurate information to the administration and faculty in support of the program review, planning, budgeting and decision-making process at the University. Additionally, the IE director serves as a functional lead for the campus-wide planning and assessment software system, and coordinates efforts related to system development, implementation, education, training, and account management.
