GETTING STARTED

Upon an offer, you will receive a link to complete your new employee paperwork online.  

Congratulations on your job offer! Below are resources and information that may be helpful to you as a new employee at Saint Joseph's University.

NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION:

Staff, Administrators and Full-time Faculty are invited to attend new employee orientation.  Staff and Administrators will join the Human Resources team on the date outlined in your appointment letter.  It is important to have submitted all employment forms prior to that day. The Office of Human Resources is located on City Avenue near the corner of 54th Street (building 47 on the campus map).

Faculty Orientation dates and locations will be communicated directly by the Provost's Office and generally are held in mid-August.

BENEFITS:

Benefits information can be found on the benefits section of the website.  An in-person overview will be provided during your new hire orientation.  You will be able to make your benefits selections within the first two weeks of employment.

EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK AND UNIVERSITY POLICIES:

Once you are assigned an SJU user account, you will need to log into The Nest where you will have access to the Employee Handbook. You will be prompted to acknowledge the handbook contents and certain policies as well as complete online training programs.

We participate in Home Buy Now, a program of the City of Philadelphia’s Neighborhood Transformation Initiative. This program offers benefits to eligible employees who wish to purchase a primary residence in Philadelphia’s 19131 and 19151 zip codes.
