A workshop on Online Teaching Strategies was held on Thursday, February 23. The session was moderated by Steve Porth. Joe Ragan and Katie Campbell each presented how they teach online and what works best for them. Both discussed the use of Wimba as a synchronous tool to engage students on a personal level, and gave divergent examples of how they achieved this goal. The use of narrated presentations, threaded discussions, blogs and wikis was also presented. Great points of discussion were generated, both pedagogical and practical. To access the materials from this presentation, visit the HSB On-line Course Best Practices Blackboard site > Contributions folder > Online Teaching Workshop 02-23-12.
