Welcome to Hawk Hill! We are excited that you are joining our community!
The following pages outline the housing selection process for incoming students. Please review this information carefully:
Please be aware, the Office of Residence Life cannot predict or control information shared through Facebook and other social media. All information regarding Housing Agreements, Roommate Profiles and Housing Selection can be accessed through The Nest. Outside organizations that are not accessible through this channel are not sponsored by or affiliated with Saint Joseph's University or the Office of Residence Life.
Many of our housing options require a meal plan. Information about Dining and Meal Plan options can be found on the Dining Services website.
Step 1: Complete Housing Agreement
All New Hawks must complete a Housing Agreement. Agreements should be completed online by logging into nest.sju.edu.
- Enter your username and password in the Secured Access Login box on the The Nest home page.
- From the "New Hawks Check List", select “Housing Application” located in the box labeled "Residence Life"
- Follow the steps in the Housing Application to complete the Online Agreement.
Please note that the housing agreement is a binding agreement for the entire 2017-2018 academic year and students will not be released except for extraordinary circumstances.
Step 2: Let us know where you would like to live by completing a "Housing Preference Form."
Transfer and New Freshman students are administratively assigned to spaces that are available in our system. Although we cannot guarantee the availability within all communities, we would like to know the communities and room types in which you are the most interested. Please complete the following "Preference Form" and we will do our best to assign you into a space that meets your preference information. If your preferred communities are not available, our office will be in contact with you about other options that are available.
Information about our residential communities are available at the following link:
Step 3: Receive Room Assignment and Roommate Information
All new Spring students will be administratively assigned into vacancies that currently exist in our system.
Students are encouraged to check their SJU email account for updates on their standing in the assignment process.
