Today, Saker ShopRites is one of the highest average volume per store supermarket chains in the country. To support the World Class format, he designed and built in 1984 a prepared foods commissary, a bakery commissary, and expanded this format further in 1986 with the addition of the first Kosher Foods Department under Rabbinical supervision. In 1987 a Glatt Kosher Commissary was added to the infrastructure. Today, the three commissaries manufacture over 1000 signature items branded as “World Class Kitchens” and “The Kosher Experience”. Combined with the power of Wakefern, Saker ShopRites World Class format is among the highest sales per square foot formats in the United States and has been “Voted Best Supermarket” 19 years in a row, by every major newspaper in Central New Jersey, including the Asbury Park Press, Home News Tribune, Courier Post and the Trentonian, Readers’ Choice Award.

Together with his family, he has maintained a decades-long Saker family tradition of giving back to the community in which they work and live. In the past year alone, over 1,500 Central New Jersey organizations have benefited from Saker ShopRites’s charitable donations. In addition, Saker ShopRites support the Wakefern ShopRite sponsored program “Partners in Caring“ a charity dedicated to the fight against hunger.
