{"id":210,"date":"2017-01-09T14:13:33","date_gmt":"2017-01-09T14:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.sju.edu\/gallery\/?page_id=210"},"modified":"2017-01-09T14:13:33","modified_gmt":"2017-01-09T14:13:33","slug":"gallery-exhibition-research-assistant-gera-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.sju.edu\/gallery\/gallery-exhibition-research-assistant-gera-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Gallery Exhibition Research Assistant (GERA) Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Gallery Exhibition Research Assistant (GERA) program offers valuable and interesting volunteer work experience for Saint Joseph&#8217;s University students interested in the arts.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this program, students work with both of SJU\u2019s galleries in Boland Hall and Merion Hall doing the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interviewing artists and professors<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research<\/li>\n<li>Writing texts about the exhibitions for use on the gallery walls as well as for publicity on the gallery website<\/li>\n<li>Helping install the exhibits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This experience is especially valuable for students looking for jobs in the arts (looks great on resumes).<\/p>\n<p>Guidance is provided by Art History Program Director, Dr. Emily Hage, and Associate Gallery Director, Jeanne Bracy.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
