Education Society

The Education Society is an undergraduate university recognized organization open to all students who are Education majors and minors. The Education Society primarily involves itself in planning Educational talks and activities. It offers members opportunities to participate in American Education Week and local after school care program activities. No membership fee is required.


Student-PSEA is the local chapter of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and an affiliation of the National Education Association. It provides students interested in Education a variety of opportunities relating to professional development including an annual state conference. With an annual membership student members receive journals and professional materials.

Kappa Delta Pi

The Tau Omega chapter of Kappa Delta Pi is the local chapter of the oldest and largest international honor society in existence. Tau Omega was installed as the 480 chapter in spring 1994. Membership is open to third semester students with an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Activities directed by Tau Omega chapter include CHOP’S. Reach Out and Read Program book drive and the spring Reading Is Fun Week. Wynnefield Public Library serves as its service site. Membership involves a yearly fee and includes journals and Internet resources

Alpha Epsilon Lambda

Saint Joseph’s University has a chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Graduate honor society. It was the only society that was established exclusively for graduate students. Academic achievement, leadership and service are the criteria for membership. Graduate students are inducted into the society on an annual basis.
