Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to offer several group options each semester. Groups meet weekly and are a great way to gain support, improve understanding of self and others, and learn new skills. Below are examples of some groups we have offered in the past.

Bereavement Support Group

For any student who has lost a loved one or friend recently or in the past.  We will explore the evolution of emotions and coping through the grief process, as well as foster  connections within the group as a source of support.

Interpersonal Support Group

Provides a supportive environment for students to explore and learn ways to improve their ability to connect with others, thus paving the way for deeper and more satisfying relationships.

Anxiety and Stress Relief Workshop Series 

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion A 6 session group to learn the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion; powerful tools for taming your inner critic and building emotional resilience.

Medical Illness Support Group

A supportive space to explore the unique emotional and social challenges that may come with being a college student with a significant, life-altering medical illness.

Freshmen Funk

Join other first- year students who struggling with the emotions of college adjustment. You’re not alone.
