Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to offer several group options each semester. Groups meet weekly and are a great way to gain support, improve understanding of self and others, and learn new skills. Below are our offerings for the Fall 2018 Semester:

Bereavement Support Group

For any student who has lost a loved one or friend, in the recent or distant past. The hope is that together, we can explore ways of coping and foster mutual support as we go through the grief process.

Thursdays 11am-12pm, starting September 27th at Merion Gardens.

Interpersonal Support Group

Provides a supportive environment for students to explore and learn ways to improve their ability to connect with others, thus paving the way for deeper and more satisfying relationships.

Drop in Mindfulness Meditation Sessions - No prior experience necessary

Take a brief time out during a stressful day to enjoy the benefits of meditation. Students who meditate report less anxiety, reduced stress, improved focus, and better health overall. Plus, meditation is typically enhanced in a group setting.

Mondays 11am - 11:45am starting September 24th in Campion.

Survivors of Sexual Assault Support Group

A weekly support group for female students who have experienced a sexual assault or who have had an unwanted sexual experience; group will strive to help members express feelings, reduce feelings of guilt and self-blame, develop positive coping strategies, strengthen self-esteem, and make sense of experiences.

Freshmen Funk

Join other first- year students to share experiences, get support from one another, and help with emotional adjustment to college life.
