Commencement will be held on Curran Field rain or shine. Under severe weather circumstances, the student procession may be cancelled or the start of the ceremony may be delayed. In the event that conditions threaten the safety of our graduates and guests, commencement exercises will be moved to the Michael J. Hagan ’85 Arena. If the event is moved, graduates will be restricted to two guests who must present their rain tickets.
The decision to move the ceremony will be made by 5:30 a.m. at the latest for the Undergraduate Ceremony and 12 p.m for the Graduate Ceremony. Information will be shared on the University’s website, social media channels and on a recorded message at 610-660-3333.
Graduates and faculty should report to Hagan Arena by 7:30 a.m. for the Undergraduate Ceremony and 1:30 p.m. for the Graduate Ceremony, and enter through the Recreation Center entrance. Students will gather in the Casciato Basketball Practice Facility (Multipurpose Room) and faculty will gather in the Ground Floor Basketball Hallway. In the event of rain, additional seating for guests is available in Mandeville Hall, Cardinal John Foley Campus Center, Campion Student Center, The Perch and Merion Hall, where the ceremonies will be live streamed.
