2010-11 Professional Enrichment Series for CAS Administrative Assistants

On Wednesday, September 15th, the College of Arts and Sciences Administrative Assistants’ Professional Enrichment Series began its 2010-11 activities with a lunch meeting in the Greaton Room. Group Facilitator Mary Feeney welcomed the participants to a new year and read the following message from Dean William Madges:

The Dean’s Office supports professional development because, as a Jesuit institution, we are committed to supporting each individual in the fullest development of herself and because we are committed to the magis–continually striving to take the very good things we currently do to higher levels of excellence. I applaud all who choose to participate in these sessions.

The following meeting schedule was announced for this academic year:

Sept. 15, 2010    “Welcome Back” meeting and lunch

Oct. 20, 2010     Tracking Changes for PC Users

Nov. 17, 2010     Tracking Changes for MAC Users

Dec. 2010          Meeting Date, Topic, and Location to be determined

Jan. 19, 2011     Mail Merge for PC Users

Feb. 16, 2011     Mail Merge for MAC Users

Mar. 16, 2011     Awards Ceremony – Submitting Information and Scripts

April, 2011         Meeting Date, Topic, and Location to be determined

A survey was distributed to assess the needs and interests of the members. Feedback from that survey will be used to complete the year’s schedule of training and guest speakers.
