Hand in Hand Awareness Week!

Until this year I somehow always had a scheduling conflict when it was time for Hand in Hand. This year I will finally be able to volunteer and I cannot explain how excited I am about it. In case anyone is unfamiliar with what Hand in Hand does here is a description along with the events they have planned!

 Hand-in-Hand is an organization that hosts an annual spring carnival held at Saint Joseph’s University. Our mission is to spread awareness, increase interaction, and create unity among the Saint Joseph’s University community and individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.”

Hand in Hand is celebrating “Around the World in Forty Years” and have a ton of events leading up to the big carnival. Last night was Acting without Boundaries and the Kickoff Event in the Perch, Here are the events from the rest of the week:

Thursday 3/31 – Bake Sale during free period outside of the dining hall

Sunday 4/3 – Decorating 12-5pm in the Campion Food Court

Monday 4/4 – Movie Night at 7:30pm in Forum Theater

Tuesday 4/5 – Rita’s Giveaway during free period outside of the dining hall

Wednesday 4/6 – Guest Speaker Chic Kelly will be speaking in Forum Theater at 8pm

Thursday 4/7 – Soft Pretzel Giveaway during free period outside of the dining hall

Friday 4/8 – Decorating Day will take place all day long in Hagan Arena to get ready for the big event!

Saturday 4/9 – HAND IN HAND! 10am-2pm in Hagan Arena

There will be raffles at each of the Awareness Week events and you could win a Philadelphia Zoo VIP Package, 2016 graduation tickets, a Public Safety “Get out of Parking Ticket Free” pass and more! Tickets are $1 for 1 and $3 for 5!
