Undergraduate and Graduate Students Presented Their Work at Scientific Conferences

Alessandro Sparaccio (BS ’17, MS ’19) presented his work on the teething process in C. elegans at the 22nd International C. elegans Conference in Los Angeles, CA (June 20 – June 24).  His work is a collaborative effort between Dr. Matthew Nelson (SJU), Dr. Karen Snetselaar (SJU), and Dr. David Raizen (UPENN).


Several members of Dr. Catalina Arango had the opportunity to attend the 2019 Northeast Microbiologists: Physiology, Ecology and Taxonomy Conference in Blue Mountain Lake, NY.  During the three-day conference (June 28 – June 30), undergraduate students Isabella Carpenter, Rachel Schwartz, and Ihunna Amugo, presented their research work on Sinorhizobium meliloti.
