Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Helps Every Student

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is being heard more often on college campuses and for good reason.  While it is sparked by accessibility requirements, it is a sound method for designing courses for every possible delivery mode- face to face, hybrid or fully online.  Developing a course using UDL principles allows you to reach every student no matter what his or her learning style may be.  It is a strong foundation for equal opportunity education, leveling the playing field so each student has the opportunity to engage in the course material in his or her unique way.
