Robert (Bob) Higgins graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in 1968. Robert devoted his entire business career to the grocery industry, working for Scott Paper and Irving Tissue. At Scott Paper, Robert started as a District Manager and left the company as Vice President of U.S. Consumer Sales. He then went on to hold the position of Senior Vice President/General Manager of U.S. Business at Irving Tissue. During this time, he served on the Food Marketing Educational Foundation’s Board of Governors. After leaving Irving Tissue, Robert went on to manage the Academy of Food Marketing from 2005 to 2017. Much of his time was spent on recruitment, placement, and expansion strategies for the Academy. In honor of his service, the Academy of Food Marketing and the Food Marketing Educational Foundation’s Board of Governors created the Robert R. Higgins Scholarship upon Robert’s retirement from Saint Joseph’s University.
Robert R. Higgins Scholarship – $1,500
The Academy of Food Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University is pleased to provide financial support for students studying Food Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University, in honor of Bob Higgins. Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted based on the following requirements:
- Full-time undergraduate students entering their senior year in Fall 2021.
- Students majoring in Food Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University.
- Completed application form submitted by the deadline.
- All applications must be submitted online.
