1. The decorations go up

Nothing is better to get you into the holiday spirit than the smell of the garland in Undergraduate Admissions, the twinkle of the lights on the Christmas trees in Campion Student Center, or the wreath shining on the towers of Barbelin Hall.

2. The tree lighting ceremony

Who doesn’t love a chilly night, hot cocoa, and a bright, cheery Christmas tree? The Student Senate hosts a tree lighting ceremony that allows students to get a piece of holiday tradition while they come and see the SJU tree light up.

3. Campion Christmas dinner

Three words: BEST. MEAL. EVER! SJU Campion Dining Hall pulls out all the stops for the all you can eat Christmas dinner with everything from traditional Christmas foods like potatoes and gravy, to other great options like sushi. A warm meal with all your favorite food at Campion hits the spot right before break!

4. Christmas mass

Christmas mass provides the student body the option to worship and celebrate the Christmas spirit together. It is a special and peaceful moment amidst finals to remember the true meaning of the holiday and might help give you the strength you need to get through exams!

5. The giving spirit of the SJU community

Whether it’s donating a gift to the giving tree in the library or buying a cookie from an on-campus bake sale, students on campus allow the giving spirit of the season to shine as they support not only each other but also the Philadelphia community.

6. Campion Midnight Breakfast

Pancakes, tater tots, and the president in a Santa costume! What more could you ask for?!? Enjoy a late-night study break as professors and administrators serve you breakfast at midnight in Campion Dining Hall and get you ready to hit the books.
