Do you love numbers and do you work well with people? More and more, accountants are called upon to develop business plans and analyze the performance of companies. This means that we not only focus on the numbers that drive the business but must communicate what these numbers mean and how they can be improved. Accountants are no longer in the back office of the business but out front advising on financial systems and forecasts as well as interpreting and auditing the financial statements.
The accounting program is designed to acquaint you with principles of accounting building your knowledge from understanding the basics of financial and managerial accounting to more advanced coursework in cost accounting, accounting systems, tax, and auditing. The program will help to develop all the skills necessary for successful completion of the uniform Certified Public Accountants examination.
